Baby Sculptures

The claim is that these babies are made of marzipan. In other words, they are edible. Kinda gruesome and cannibalistic. They aren't. They are made of polymer clay by an artist named Camille Allen.

Rainbow Horses

A full rainbow forms above horses grazing at Owl Creek Ranch in Snowmass Village, Colorado. Apparently this guy was driving around when this perfect pic appeared. Just goes to show ya -- always have your camera ready. His editor accused him of carrying blow-up horses in his trunk. Copyright Dan Bayer 1999 www.dbpix.com

Tsunami Crests Phuket, Thailand -- NOT!

This picture went around the Internet, pretending to be the tsunami of December 26, 2004. It's really not. That tidal wave was only four feet high. Packed a hell of a punch, though, didn't it? This picture was created in a photo manipulation program. Google "Christmas Tsunami" for more about the real thing.

Pope Benedict Celebrates Mass

The German Pope brings changes to the traditional Mass. (Yea, totally irreverent, but funny as heck!)

Blue

A gorgeous picture. I wish I was there, where ever "there" is.

A Big Dog on a Small Couch

This picture is one of those that gets passed around the Internet. It came to me via email. No idea who took it.

Attack of the Dolphins

Dolphins are a common sight in the waves off Malibu, California. This pic was shot by sports photographer Kurt Jones in 2003. It is not a shark! You can order the print from his web site: http://www.surfshooter.com/, plus see more of his totally cool surfer pics.

Baby Tree

This picture is so corny and so saccharine that it makes me want to throw up. Especially when I think of that couple having sex. But it's a very cool example of digital photo art, so here it is.

A Dog and Her Ducklings

So these poor baby ducklings imprinted on a dog! How funny is that? I wonder how they turned out once they grew up. Did they think they were dogs too?

Proud of Daddy

Commencement, University of Colorado at Boulder, May 2005. A proud family pays tribute to their dad. They've got six kids, just like my mom and dad had. I feel all cozy when I see this picture. (Photo/Casey A. Cass)

El Capitan

Morning sunlight on eastern wall of El Capitan, Yosemite Valley, California, with Merced River in foreground.

Pictures of El Capitan make me feel wistful. They remind me of someone long ago, someone who climbed rocks and rode motorcycles, someone who took me to San Francisco, someone that I said 'no' to. I've always kind of regretted that, saying no.

By Ralph Anderson, July 1934. For further information contact Yosemite Research Library, National Park Service, PO Box 577, Yosemite, CA 95389; phone 209-372-0280.

Question: Can You Grow Cress in a Keyboard?

Answer: Yes.

Johannes Hjorth of the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, did it to play a joke on his friend. See more at: http://www.nada.kth.se/~hjorth/krasse/english.html

Only one keyboard was harmed in the making of this joke.
